Edwards & Blake took over from our previous contract caterers at this local College in September 2008 and now cater for 5,000 students and staff across three food outlets on campus. They have increased the quality of food on offer by bringing in fresh ingredients and preparing meals on site. Food is sourced locally where possible and a healthier selection of pastas, sandwiches, fruit salads and salad boxes are available.
Since they came on board we are impressed to report that the college has only received positive feedback regarding food choice and quality from the student forum. The improved selection of healthy alternative puddings and ‘grab and go’ snack options is proving particularly popular.
Edwards & Blake take into consideration food allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences in menu design and have worked closely with the students to introduce a scheme which sees them saving money for eating more nutritious food. Ongoing promotions organised by Edwards & Blake include 3 for 2 offers on seasonal salads and fruit and money off when choosing ‘healthy eating’ alternatives.
As caterers they show a continuity of quality which has led us to recommend them to two other local colleges and the renewal of our contract for a further 5 years.
